Larry D. Rine is founder and CEO of Intersect.

Larry oversees day-to-day operations of the company while managing partner relationships and the development and implementation of strategic and operational business plans to promote future growth for the company.

He maintains an active role in governmental relations and with healthcare and technology industry associations and has often spoken publicly and been published on related matters. Prior to founding Intersect, he owned and managed Advantage Financial Services, a source of funding for small and mid-market companies. Earlier he had a long consulting career where he assisted financial and other innovative organizations in strategic and market development initiatives.

Rine is a graduate of the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University where he received an MBA in 1991. He also attended Northwestern University as an undergraduate student and majored in Organizational Behavior. He also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Phoenix where he taught technology management, transformational change and strategic development.  He holds numerous technology certifications. Personal interests include college football, gifted grandchildren, pets and travel.


Suzanne B. McWilliams, RN is Senior Vice President

Sue has spent her entire career in healthcare. She has over 25 years experience as an Emergency Room nurse, program coordinator, facility director and administrator. Her background includes extensive project development and management of service delivery.

Sue leads Intersect's hospital and clinical consulting initiative and holds responsibilty for process improvment initiatives through the development of clinical work flows and and their administration. She serves as Board Chair of the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Lake County, Chair of the Communications Committee of the American Cancer Society, Illinois Division and a member of the Strategic Planning Committee for Rosalind Franklin University

Ms. McWilliams holds a B.S. Nursing degree from the Chicago Medical School, and an M.S. Nursing degree from the University of Phoenix.

Currently, Sue is enjoying her first grandson, Gavin Williams born August 3, 2010.


Matthew J. Proesel is Senior Vice President

Matt leads Intersect's sales initiative. He also plays a leading role in the strategic direction of the company and leads a marketing research initiative. Previously, he had an extensive career in the financial markets.

He volunteers with the Chicago Cares, Chicago Food Depository and the CBOE Tutoring Program.

Matt graduated from Boston College from the Wallace E. Carroll Undergraduate School of Management with a major in finance.

Personal interests included college and professional football and fishing. Matt recently celebrated the birth if his first child.


Deborah Williamson Rine is Senior Vice President

Ms. Rine has a dual focus at Intersect. She is centered on stimulus and grant funding as well as leading Intersect's client education program. Formerly, she spent 25 years in the field of Education. She taught French and served as Department Chairman at the High School level . Through the  mentoring  of student teachers  and the consulting and evaluating of experienced teachers, Ms. Rine developed an expertise in the art of professional training.  

She received a Bachelors and Masters Degree in French Literature from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. After graduation she completed over 60 credit hours of related study. Since joining Intersect she has completed courses in grant writing, medical coding and medical informatics.

Ms. Rine enjoys grandchildren, walking her dog, reading and writing.  She is fluent in French, Italian and conversant in Spanish


Mark S. Cooper is Senior Vice President

Mr. Cooper has spent his entire career in health care.  He has over 35 years experience with Abbott Labs and Hospira in provider-side consulting assignments with key clients of Abbott/Hospira.  The assignments focused on process improvement within hospitals and clinics for key areas such as supply chain, O.R, Pharmacy, Lab and other operational sections.  The process improvement projects were based on recognized techniques such as total quality management, continuous quality improvement and six-sigma.

Mr. Cooper holds a BA in Economics from Indiana University, augmented by graduate studies at Ohio State University in Logistics.  Mr. Cooper has also served as an author and advisor for educational publications from the International Association of Health Materials Management as sponsored by Purdue and Michigan State Universities.
